About 15yrs. ago I had a 150gal. reef for ten years. out for about 5 now back in with a 75 reef. I've always had anemones and clowns. The bubble tip I have now was stationary for almost 4 months. Now it has been wandering and just letting go and rolling around from water flow. It with climb and be good for a day and then start all over again. Have gold stripe clowns for it. Anemone has almost tripled in size in 4 months. No change in water parameters. whats its problem?

Mine did that for a while, it finally found a spot and settled in.

Try to blast him with flow.

Can you post a pic of your tank tomorrow when all lights are on?

My anenome did this... it was in a spot for about 3 months then one day it decided to go all around the tank for a few weeks just to end up in pretty much the same spot it started -.-

clowns could be bothering it to much? IMO maroons are some of the most aggressive hosting of all clowns next to clarki. Ive had clowns kill nems! but it looks good and healthy.

Looks like a fairly young tank to me.
Nems like to be in settled systems and find their peace a lot faster.
Then again we talking nature here and somewhat we can control nature but not how animals behave.
Let it be and it will find it's spot.
Luckily you don't have a whole lot of corals that it can sting while on the jog.

tank has been up and running for 6 months. clowns are just babies. of course female wont let male in. Yes light loads. no rush to stock. only 5 fish and three leather corals. Like the soft corals. been thru the halide lights with last reef.

Yes I love the gold stripe. Last pair were 4" female & 3" male but they were 10yrs old when I gave up the 150. They did kill a small anemone Had to buy large.

I couldnt find all the specs on that light, but if I were to hazard a guess, its like a really good 2 tube T5 or a poor 4 tube at 12in. So I kinda think thats ok. So the way you have the tank laid out Is probably Perfect. Id kinda think that youd want to eventually(acclimate), have the light at 100%, But I would look into a meter first to confirm it, mostly so you know if you have enough light on the sand. Par meter is best Lux meter is a cheap alternative .
Nems are Soooo weird. Once my clowns finally showed interest in my nem, they chased it around the nems rock. Literally, the nem walked all the way around the rock for a month before giving up and going back to its original spot.
