My concern here is with the rock out of the water your gonna lose a lot of water daily, it smells really bad. And if your tank next to it is freshwater it's eventually gonna be brackish water. If it was my guess your hermits wouldn't mind walking from one side to the other...... Lol mine used to bask under my lights.

My very young jbj20L with false wall removed and sumped. This is not the final scape. I plan to add some Shelf rock I have cooking and make the rock on the left smaller rocks and go for the bommie look.
