Hey guys. I was wondering g if there is an easy way to break apart rocks that have been stuck together with epoxy resin?

I have an arch in my tank with a few rocks joined together but it's higher than I would like it. Its been in my tank since the beginning (18 months) and j have never really been happy with it.

Anything you guys recommend. Removing it from the tank is not really an option as there are about 6 or 7 pieces joined together.

Silly question, perhaps, but did you try to break it apart with your hands? Could you use bone cutters around where the epoxy it to work it away?

No I haven't tried pulling it apart. Just figured it would have a strong hold. Could I use bone cutters in the tank?

Breaking it apart in your tank could be dangerous ...you could break your tank at worst case ....my advice ..lift it out with two people break it outside and put it back ...that is by far the safest I think ...

The problem with messing in the tank, is one slip could be very costly. I remember doing something similar involving a hammer whilst thinking whatever you do don’t drop it or catch the glass! Lol

You might be able to do it with your hands, using a bit of force and pressure on the joints so might be worth a careful try.

Anyway what’s wrong with the scape, I think it looks really nice ?

This is why I don’t glue my rocks

Thanks

The problem I have is that I want to fill my tank with coral eventually. Are there any corals that would do well on the higher rocks? I just assume that it's too close to the waters surface no?
