Want to get a bubble tip and need advice

So I am thinking of getting a rainbow bubble tip nem. I have a 29g biocube that has been slightly modded with the inTank media baskets and took out one of the PC lights to add 2 panorama pro LED modules that are all blue. Would a nem work in this tank with the current setup? Also how mature should the tank be to even think about getting a nem? Thanks in advance!

U may need stronger light if its the led strips that u have.. IMO

Tank needs to be up and cycled for at least 6 months and have good water parameters. Idk enough about the tank ir lights to be any more help

No they arent the stunner strips that cost like 50$ each... These are the panorama pro that are like 90 each...

Thanks... ok so out of the question for now then... have only had it up and running for around 3 months...

Oh ok.. I still dnt thnk they will be enough from what i got from other reefers.. Lighting has awesome shimmer but not strong enough. Probably would be best to upgrade lighting b4 adding an anemone to like a T5, metal halide, or leds that u can get the wattage from.. Just IMO

OK I will hold off on the nem for now until I get my larger tank... That way I can get better lighting for it than the PCs I am kinda stuck with in the BC... Another question tho, how aggressive can they be? Not a fan of losing critters in my tank, so wouldnt want to put any shrimps or fish in danger with a nem...

You might want to talk with someone at Ecoxotic, but it is doubtful that 2 modules would be enough. We are using the 23.5" Panorama Pro fixture with 7 modules on our 30g and are getting ready to add 2 more modules to it.

Just depends on the nems personality.. I have one in my biocube 14 with 4 fishes and a peppermint shrimp and he hasnt ate any of them.. They just have to have that perfect spot and they wont move. Heres a pic of mine.. Been there since i got it..

I had a bta with stock lighting for years under the stock biocube29 lights. So added lights should be fine.

you can keep one in with stock lights but most likely the bta will get bleached from lack of good light.. i knw since my current bta the one pictured above got bleached but its getting its color back after i put a PAR38 bulb.. If ur using pc lighting make sure to supplement with a lot of feeding for ur bta so it can keep its original color
