I've been wanting to try the Triton method for a while but I have been waiting to do my system move/upgrade in order to do it correctly. Now that I am in the middle of it all, I am a bit confused and was hoping someone more experienced than I could chime in and help.

My new system consists of a 100 gal top display tank, a bottom 120 gal tank (I call it the double decker) and 2 frag tanks, one 45 gal and another 35 gal. I have a 40 gal breeder with baffles that I can use with this system, as well as a 120 gal tank that is not drilled. Initially my idea was to run the 120 as a display fuge featuring lots of different macroalgaes, but now I am not sure I can do that. The bottom part of the double decker system (120 gal) sits about 8" higher than the floor. For pumps I have available a Vectra L1 or a Reeflo Hammerhead/Barracuda hybrid. I actually have two of those laying around.

How would you set this system up? My head hurts from thinking of all the possible ways to accomplish it all.

The bottom tank will be propped up by cbs blocks, raising the tank by 8" from the floor.

Ok, I don't see how that's an issue though? As long as whatever you dictate as your sump is the lowest water level. Asking how you would set it up greatly varies on the available space. If you've got the room just plumb it all together!
