I am currently running 2x96 watt 50/50 pc on my 46 bowfront. I am wanting a little more blue on it.
Has anyone tried regular blue LEDs to give it a little more color? I have two dozen 5mm leds that say 10000mc on them and 440-470nm. They are too bright for moonlights. But, they did add a really nice shimmer. I tried two of them and, although blue, they lit the tank up too much (IMO) for moonlight. So, I thought about wiring up about a dozen of them and putting them in the PC fixture just to add some shimmer and blue.
Any thoughts?
I suppose I should just do it and see cause I can always take them back out if I don't like them.
Thanks,
Steven
