Have you considered "BuildMyLED"? They are a well known, reputable, and VERY reasonably priced custom LED company. You can build your own, or purchase their predetermined setups. If I was on a budget for lights, they'd be my second pick, right after Kessil pendants.

I would check Reef Radiance lumentec pro LEDs. They are fully programmable.

Looks like a cool set up. Let us know how they work also.

I'm a bit biased but I personally prefer fixtures with Cree X series 5 or 10 watt LEDs.

The Cree Cool White is close to Full Spectrum with plenty of grow.

A lot of fixtures will not specify the type or Bin of LEDs only say they are 3 watt...Be careful of counterfeit LEDs, so ensure the company is reputable and here to stay...

Advertising or bragging about a three watt LED is like bragging about a 6 cylinder engine...A lot of difference, variation and quality...

Depending on price and warranty some 3 watt fixtures are a fair value.

I built my fixture for 135 shipped, and its "full spectrum" (theoretically atleast) while it doesn't have any of the bells and whistles it gets the job done and its made out of "knock off" leds. As far as concerned it the diode emits light then it works, no need to pay $11 for a single led, with the rate tech progresses that led will be near worthless soon any ways. Just my two cents, sorry if this comes off as being rude

Yep essentially the same thing I built, though I didn't check the led colors. Even used the same bridge lux leds, I just built mine into my biocube hood, so I couldn't get a prefab one. I was just saying hight end expensive Crees really don't matter as a bridgelux led is rated for some 11 years constant use anyways.

I hope someone jumps in but I just checked the Bridgelux website and did not find any data sheets on the Bridgelux 3 watt LEDs. Normally a product still in production is listed on the companies website.

Bridgelux Products - Bridgelux

Without a clear data sheet and binning chart its really hard to compare LEDs.

I prefer to avoid counterfeits or third party manufacturers as the performance/price ratio of the latest Cree or Luxion LEDs makes them very competitive.

A Cree 5 watt XT-E Royal Blue is about $3 v $2 for a 3 watt "Bridgelux" Royal Blue. Add up the extra heat, electricity and the additional drivers required by the "Bridgelux" LED for the same light, the more expensive Cree is the better value.

Caveat Emptor...
