Any ideas on how I can add a sump to a existing running tank? It is a lobster tank and double wall acrylic, so drilling isn't really a option. I was thinking about having the sump above the tank, pumping the water up to it, through the skimmer, then gravity fed back down to the display
Thoughts?

Yep, there's several gravity fed refugium out there. I'm not so sure your skimmer will work as a pump though. Keep us updated if you find a way.

Not skimmer pump working as the main water draw. Pump water up, skim, gravity feed down to tank.

Sounds doable, thanks for the replies.

Oh OK. I misunderstood and thought you meant using the skimmer to pump the water up.

Why not just use a hang on back skimmer?
