war coral color change

Hi , my war coral has parts that turns greenish, could that be becose of an encounter with another coral or is it normal ?

That is normal.Sometimes large colonies will get some nice variations like that.

Mine has variations even within the red color in the colony. I would also agree that it's normal.

Very nice indeed but would you say the coloring could be scar tissues ?

No, the color variations were there when I got him. He's got areas that are red and others that are a darker maroon color. The loss of tissue in a few areas will heal up I'm another month or so.

That's the cool thing about favites pentagona, the colony can grow into greens and even blues.
