War coral frag vs high alkalinity

I have had my tank cycling for a month and once i got everything down to an acceptable range I bought my first frag.
Right before i added it i tested ph and alkalinity and saw ph was low, so in order to correct it I dosed a buffer solution without understanding its affect on alkalinity. The coral started shriveling and excreting a thin mucous but after a few hours I saw it begin to lose color. So I checked my parameters and had an alkalinity of over 20.
I went to my LFS and bought coral dip and saltwater to make a quarantine tank.
The Coral was dipped and is now in the 5 gallon frag tank with a light, powerhead and a tunze nano skimmer. Is there anything else I can do?
The coral still has color but It looks bad

I'd say you pretty much did what you could. Just keep it in stable parameters and see if it recovers
