Unfortunately yes these lights prob won't be able to grow any coral and if the do they will def be washed out with no blues:(. Maybe you could add a Cree kit from rapid led to supplement what the lights are lacking and add more power. Or sell it and start over:( sorry but you've been duped by whoever sold those to you man.

Good news on the temp falling! I keep my tank cooler then most, and I would be freaking out with the temp over 80! ;)

Have you used the light I have? Just curious because everyone I have talked to that has says they work fine and everyone that is saying they won't work hasn't actually used the light...

Don't get hung up on "my light is different", when it comes down to it, PAR or even better PPFD is the measure that matters. LUX is fine when you are comparing room lighting that is VISIBLE to our eyes.

Yes, LED's create far more lumens per watt, (and yes I know watts are a measure of power consumption, not light output) but ultimately it comes down to useable spectrum for the corals. Your light has many lumens, but the spectrum is not ideal, nor is the PAR. Will it grow LPS, yes, it will. Will you have the absolute best possible color, no. These are facts that can be quantified with PAR and spectragraph models of your light as compared to others.

Have you ever heard the expression "the last 10% is the most expensive"? It is common in racing, well it also applies to lights/pumps/and skimmers. The absolute best may only be marginally better then other options, but they are in fact, better.
