Warning to AIO owners - JBJ 45 rimless

I can only confirm this problem exists on the JBJ RL-45, but it might be common to AIO aquariums, at least in the JBJ series.

The tank divider panel separating the display and the back chamber is plastic and has 3 little holes towards the bottom of the panel, one hole in the center and one on each side. The holes are small but the flow is pretty quick through them apparently.

I learned a lesson when I woke up that weak swimmers can get sucked and stuck in the holes.

RIP little cleaner shrimp. I’m fairly certain this isn’t a molt because he molted last week and I can’t find him anywhere in the tank.

Hope some people can learn from my mistake on this one. Possibly find a way to partially plug the holes if you have weak swimmers.

I do not consider it defect in the tank, many AIO tanks have the same basic design. Any healthy animal should be fine. Shrimps growing quickly or experiencing chemistry swings can molt more frequently and that looks a lot like a molt.

Hopefully your shrimp shows back up once it recovers from a molt.

I have the samw exact tank. Never seen that issue before and my fire shrimp moves all over the tank. Looka like molt to me

Aren't these holes designed to relieve pressure? Aside from that I'm sure tons of sand, detritus, food, etc get into the rear compartment due to these holes.

They are in the tank im guessing cause i had a cheaper all in one and it cracked it the back im guessing cause of pressure
