Warning: Use Vibrant at your own risk

Hello Everyone,

As everyone knows Vibrant has been wildly popular. We stand by Vibrant 100% and we are not taking these accusations lightly.

At this time, we have samples of Vibrant out to Labs for independent certified testing dating back to batches from 2016 to current to compare them to see if there have been any changes in the production of Vibrant.

We are hoping to have these results back by the end of this week and we will post everything that we have.

I know this post will not please everyone, but we want to have as much information as possible for the community before we make any official statements.

Thank you,
Jeff

From a testing perspective how do you feel the contents of the bottle are going to be when the below statement says 'at least a few years, probably much longer' for shelf life?

Not sure what sort of batch or lot number system you have but comparing them with a 'probability' clause seems like it will only yield more questions than answers.

You all might be wasting too many brain cells thinking about this. :) While it is fun, don't spend too many cycles on it.

The company just posted that they have no idea what is in their product and had to send it out to testing to figure it out... allegedly. I don't believe this at all, but even if it is true, everything that they have said in the past is not credible, including the ingredient list. If it is not true, then you cannot believe them anyway, so who cares, right?

I heard that Colonel Sanders wants the Reef Chemistry Forum at reef2reef to figure out what their 11 secret herbs and spices are... they forgot and are sending Chicken from 2016 to present day to be tested to find out.

Hi Jeff,
Coming from Design/Build industry with 3rd party being used as everyday part of life. I have refrained from playing blame game and accusations. Not aware of how it works in your particular industry, I could see how this (may) happen in mine (to an extent.)
Having said that and going with the comments some of our most credentialed peers have made in this thread, the comments in linked podcast, extensive testing and NMR results.
Its hard for me to read you 100% stand behind Vibrant while further testing is being done and before results are provided.
For at least me ive ruled out @taricha is being untruthful about results. Doesn't make sense as these can easily be replicated. Which leads me to contamination(always a possibility) but with all the other testing provided? And lastly you where duped by 3rd party.
This is where the 100% backing from your part doesn't feel right but I do understand you have to stand behind your product.
One thing I dont get and I hope it makes sense after final results and your explanation.
Why the ingredient label change along the way?
Again I could see it that you've been duped by 3rd party company every step of the way.
Hoping this all makes sense after everything is said and done.
And thanks for chiming in.

I am excited for the results from the third party testing provided clear precautions against conflict of interest are taken.

Am I the only one that see an issue with UWC providing their samples to the lab? There are plenty of sealed bottles of this product out in the wild at LFS, big retailers and with hobbyist that could be used and would remove any potential chain of custody issues. Even if it is only managing the perception of an issue. This is just good practice for an independent test.

So you don't have data about whether the manufactured Vibrant match the desired content at a regular basis? Is there any quality assurance of its production at all then?

I can't sell a live phyto product with no phyto, or all dead phyto, can I? And I won't be able to know for sure it's actually what I think it is unless I test it out regularly, don't you think?

No it doesn’t. It says 95% of that bottle of vibrant contains a solution of a bacteria blend.

That blend can have an infinite amount of different percentages. It could be 20% bacteria and 80% others.

The term “95% BLEND” makes it impossible to guess the true composition of the product. Because 95% of vibrant has a blend of an unknown composition.

This is why I've ruled out the possibility of untruthful testing. Sure it could happen but there are way to many bottles out there. As well as im sure more than at least 1 independent lab doing the testing after all this exposure.

There is no question in my mind our pros can't do a little testing and tell us exactly what is in the colonels chicken. I must know. I wanna try smoking some wings in dry rub hahahaha man good stuff!

Where do I need to send an unopened bottle I can go buy at the lfs lol? Maybe a few of us should do that. I have no skin in the game and never used it, but my curiosity if getting the best of me lol.
Who’s willing to drink it for the cause , I’m jk of course …

It just happens to be 29% off on Amazon. Someone pointed that out earlier but I don't want to go find who.

Yes, this is my take as well. Which really says two things for me if that is the case. 1. The label is pretty useless in helping anyone understand what is in the bottle. 2. I am willing to bet that UWC gets this "blend" from a third party and then mixes in those other ingredients and this is why the product was labelled this way. Put in X ml of the purchased special sauce. Add other ingredients. Top off with RODI. As I stated in the livestream last night - this is one plausible explanation still remaining outside of flat out deceit - it is one of the reasons I asked craig about this particular thing.

I’m being serious though. I can hit the 3 lfs up in my area and pick up a bottle. Have enough store credit I will never use or take forever to us that it is no issue. For the testing, can’t be any worse then me wasting a weekend dyno tuning turbo Volvos lol.

On Amazon doesn’t mean by Amazon.

The seller from the link you posted is:

American Top Aquatic LLC
True on Amazon does not mean by Amazon. I did not say by Amazon. The link for me goes to this: ships from and sold by Amazon. Not sure why it would be different for you.

Dyno tuning turbo Volvos sounds like my kind of fun.

I think your correct it all will come down to 3rd party and what role was played by whom. Did 3rd party provide results and UWC slap name on it based on those results and to what extent. There has been an ingredient change along the way perhaps when the controversy started? Idk but its going to be interesting to hear the final response.
