So I have had a starfish in my tank for roughly 4 months. The first 3 months he did great then about a month ago I did a big water change and raised the salinity from 1.023 to 1.026. Im guessing this was too rapid a change for it because I saw from the next day a huge change. He went from looking similar to this (not my pic but looks like it did)
The first day after the change he was kind of shriveled and after a few days kind of looked as if he was dissolving. He didn't move for a few days and then only moved a little. I thought he was going to die soon and was just going to wait till it did to remove it. I sure am glad I didn't get rid of it when he looked dead because its been a month and he moves all over the place now. He now looks likes this all smooth with none of those little spikes I liked so much... What yall think? Is he gonna make it or just a prolonged death?
