was i right to send this torch back

50/50 shot not worth the risk

Coral looks good to me. That spot you circled was from a previous die off but looks like the torch formed a new rim and has flesh very much attached to it. Like you said tho for 355 you want to get what you paid for

This, that is a new corallite growing up out of an old dead one. I suppose it’s a cosmetic imperfection, but it looks completely healthy to me. The sad thing is, the likelihood that it’s dead now (or will be) from being shipped back without having time to recover from the first shipping is quite high.

100%> receiving torches in the mail is like a 25% failure rate anyways with how terrible they are at shipping ( Not to mention that some pack them very wrong)

Quite a bummer.. If this was me I would have taken pictures of it, sent it to the retailer with a nice FYI so that you would be covered in the event something did happen.

Flesh band is a little thin and the base is pretty grimy, but it is a complete flesh band and it is in the middle of splitting, I think it’s healthy.
Maybe worth a mention but not a return imo

.
100 bro it’s hard for me to find a seller that knows how to pack euphyllia. The tips should be extending in the bag but most get so banged up by they’re own skeleton, they show up closed like this.
