I used to power wash them. Took them out a year ago.So... I guess to re-use the socks toss them in the washer with no soap?? What’s the preferred method here? Thanks.
How ever you wash them I would recommend a quick rinse with fresh water first to get the majority of the crude off. I use a bucket with bleach/water and let them soak (a few at a time) and then rinse and air dry. When they are dry the bleach smell should be gone. I rinse them in salt water right before I reuse them just to be sure.So... I guess to re-use the socks toss them in the washer with no soap?? What’s the preferred method here? Thanks.

QUESTION OF THE DAY - Shoo-Wee Dirty Socks! Are you cleaning your filter socks good enough?
Ok this is a question is more for me than anyone at this point because I'm always wondering if I am getting my filter socks clean enough! I'm always wondering did I rinse good enough, should I take a water hose to them, should I throw in the washer, should I add bleach, or maybe I should do all...www.reef2reef.com
When I bought new washer dryer I hooked up old one in basement just for socks. It’s the easiest way to deal with nasty 7 inch socks and no longer have to put them in washer we wash clothes in or have to worry about soap contamination.Wow... dedicated!!
