Waste water harmful to sewer pipe?

We used to owned townhome and I never thought about it when I m doing water change. I figured they are pvc pipe. However with the new sfh we moved in, they are cast iron pipe. How harmful you think the waste saltwater to the pipe? Every time I dumped waste water I run freshwater for a minute or two just in case

I wouldn't worry about it.

I think youd need oxygen to rust them bad. Not sure how much oxygen is available. Might want to ask in the chem forum Randy knows this im sure.

Your pipes will fail....in 100 years or so.
