Hi everyone. First time trying to be active on a forum. Looks like a cool place. Just wanted to introduce myself and give u a little summary of my journey so far with the sea. Looking to connect with some ppl and share our experience and ideas.
So I got my first reef tank about 20 years ago, a 75 gallon. The pics are really bad lol. I was like 13 years old, but still managed to get my animals to grow.
The second one was a 24g nano, bout 12-15 years ago, when they first came out with the cube. Managed to color-up and branch-out a lil bit some SPS. At the time, very few hobbyists put SPS in that small a tank.
After college I was in the military and then I taught in Vietnam (no more tanks 'pun'). I had a small coral reef fishery/restoration project in the Philippines for a phD, which kinda fell through cuz funding constraints. I managed to get a load of diving in the GBR, Philippines, and Indo. Did bunch of oceanography.

Also I've got 2 vids on youtube. 1 in Philippines, other Indo. Here are the links. Great to get ideas for reefing.
Working on a new career now and hope to make an epic tank build later this year. Probably 300g+. Gonna do a build thread lol and have fun with the tank here online as well. Hope everyone doesn't mind me also sharing the dive and snorkel stuff.
