I've been trying to find a male/female pair of watanabei for sale all day and can't find them anywhere. I can find females all day long but males seem to be a little more tricky. Anyone have a lead on these guys?

Males are harder to find in the wild, ship and acclimate. And when females can transition to makes it makes less sense to go to the extra effort so demand is low. So it will be harder to find and more expensive for a male.

I have no problem paying more for a male. I've seen them in stock at places before but I wasn't ready for them at the time. I really don't want to add 2 females and hope 1 transitions to a male but if it ends up being my only option then I guess I'm stuck.

One of my females always transformed to male after a time. I would not worry about it. Go for the long haul. Document the changes. I always love to see fish developed in my tank. I like smaller fish, and given a choice I get immature animals for my tank.
