I have a watanabei angel that has a cloudy buldging eye. I believed this was just a cut on its eye since it looks to have a line across it but upon further inspection I see her fins look a little frayed. I don’t see anything unusual on any of the other fish(fox face has always had slightly cloudy eyes and when I looked into that I saw it was normal). On top of this it’s been a while since anything new was added to the tank and she was the most recent addition. Everything else I’ve had from 1 year and 5 months to 8 years so they have been around and sharing different systems for a while. Tried to get a video of everyone. Sorry for all the bubbles I was just cleaning the wavemakers and one is causing them.

Hi - Unfortunately - I cant see the movie:( - but
on the second link - in my signature - there is a link - with some questions that you can answer - to help us help you:).

FWIW - most 'bulging cloudy eyes' are a bacterial infection - could be flukes. Do you happen to have. QT Tank? Do you have any medications on hand? Maracyn 2, kanaplex, etc? Is it one eye or 2. If its 2 flukes may be more likely - if its one eye injury - is more likely.

BTW - most of the time - if its an injury - it can heal on its own. Even a picture - rather than a movie may help with the frayed fin issue - Under white light if possible

Without seeing eye, if it is milky, treat it to be safe with ehrhromyacin (Maracyn/Maracyn 1) for at least 5 days and should clear up. Do this in a separate setting other than display tank
If it doesn’t heal on its own, it BBC will only worsen

I was able to get some photos that showed the line across the eye and the fins. Sorry that it’s still a little blue this is only the white channel on on my reef breeders photon and it still messes with my iPhone and sadly I don’t have any lenses.

I was able to get the video to play. It looks like a minor injury to me. I presume the fish is still feeding well? Treatment would be, as mentioned, moving it to a treatment tank and dosing with erythromycin. However, you might want to see if it gets better on its own first. Catching these up and moving them often causes this type of injury as well, so you could make it worse.

Yea still eating well and acting healthy it hasn’t been picked on or anything to make it worse so I’m hoping it just bumped into something.
