So, we've been having a bit of trouble with our params. - nothing really awful but had the phos. go up to 0.25 ppm from zero. Corrected the issue, back down to 0 ppm but no sooner did and then our nitrates went to 40 ppm from zero.

Did a water change. Meanwhile, before this started we'd been feeding the heck out of our rbta in an effort to get it to split. It doubled in size but no split action - tonight in the middle of the water change the rbta looks stressed, gets pretty ugly looking and sure enough starts to split! I know this pic really sucks, camera is older than I am I think but you can still see the split through the light and bs.

So now we're a little excited, crabbing that we don't have a better camera but still excited to witness the event. Hubby decided hes going to shut down one of the lights and try a flash shot to see if that helps get a better pic. He shuts it down and as he tries to focus in we see the nem start to shrink a bit and I say out loud "whats the deal now?" Well, the deal was.....wait for it, it decides heck noooo I'm not splitting after all and the split closes up! I've never see anything like it. In the pic below you can still see the line on the left side of the nem where it closed. It now is back to totally fused together. Bah! :( Anyone else ever have this happen?!?
