Watchman goby is distraught

I have had this watchman goby and tiger pistol shrimp pair for over 5 years. The pistol shrimp just passed and now the goby isn’t acting like itself. It keeps swimming around in the open and won’t go in where their den was. Do I attempt another shrimp with her or see if she will adjust on her own?

I would try another shrimp if after a few days she hasn’t adjusted.
