Water alarm in sump or main display

Does anybody have / use a water alarm / sensor in there sump? Or even in the main display tank? Not for leaks, but for raising water in sump?

Since a power outage or failed pump (or even a broken siphon) seems to be a major concern / issue with overflows and sumps, does anybody use cheap high water alarm sensors to help monitor?

I hope this is the info you are looking for.
I use a controller and have floats for alarms;
1 in the back overflow box to shut off the return pump before water hits the floor.
1 in the sump's return section to shut off the ATO if it ever decides to fail 'on'.
1 in the skimmer cup lid to stop it overflowing.

I also have 2 floats in my ATO tank. 1 turns on an LED to remind me to fill it.
The other will shut off the pump, but not the controller. This will still allow the ATO controller to alarm if the sump's return section runs low.

Agree with Greg P.
I have numerous monitoring high and low in each area that could potentially cause overflow or dry running pumps. Neptune controlled. Wouldn't go without them... saved me a couple times already.
