Ok I bought a 210g with a 55g sump. There's roughly 200lbs of sand and about 350 pounds of live rock. The sump runs about 4-6 inches below the top. What Im wondering is what would be a rough idea of how many gallons of water is actually in there. I know there's no way for some one to be exact and I'm not looking for a scientific answer. Just wondering so I have an idea for doesing and what not. Thanks

I used that same calculator and it came out pretty dead-on according to tests after dosing with the volume it came up with.

But I'd say in your 220 with all that lr and ls,,, your probably running around 170 gallons in the dt alone

Don't let that fool you! Lr will absorb more than water will,, so if you plan on dosing something, make out as you've got 220 gallons running

I tried the calculator and didn't understand the results. It's a 210g with a 55g sumo with 200lb of sand and 350lb of live rock
