Likely just overfilling 5 gal buckets lol.Question: Are you flooding the garage because you’ve used cheaper containers that have ruptured???
Cant find a designation stamp on either of them.Either is fine but look at the bottom of each can at the stamp. Im wonderingwhat the blue one is made from. The brute is PP i think.
Lots of people have mold issues on brute cans. I did when i first set mine up. The walls grew black slime.
I think I’m gonna go with the brute as I just read that other containers leech P03 into the water.Brutes are a little thicker plastic. They are NFS certified, meaning you can hiold food in them without anything in the plastic leeching out. Can't say that for the cheaper one.
With that said, I've used ACE brand garbage cans for storing water(local to me and was easier then running an hour down the road to get a brute), and didn't have an issue.
nah, just a burnt out pothead with a memory problem. I over fill my lil containers. Flooded 15 gallons or more into my garage before my son caught it for me.Question: Are you flooding the garage because you’ve used cheaper containers that have ruptured???
Got it. I was wondering because I use a non brute container “inside” don’t really want that spilling 30 gallons on our wood floors.Likely just overfilling 5 gal buckets lol.
I still flood my 20g brute lol. Luckly its in garage.
Thats what they make ASOV, and float valves for.Likely just overfilling 5 gal buckets lol.

Bingo!Likely just overfilling 5 gal buckets lol.

I’ll invest in that next. I thought I’d be able to keep up with the 5 gallon one.Thats what they make ASOV, and float valves for.
Almost the same. Left for work and got a call from my son 5 hours later got the call....I’m mostly don’t like the idea of my rodi water going to waste.Oh trust me, I've overfilled 5G buckets more then my fair share of times. Last time I was making water in 5g buckets, and didn't put the bucket in the shower like I normally would. Left to go to a friends house, forgot the RO/DI was running, came home 5 hours later...... You can imagine the damage to wood floors after about 4 hours of flooding.
It was then that my wife told me to either fix the problem, or get rid of the tank. I chose to fix the problem with a mixing station, ASOV, and float valve in my brute. Haven't flooded a floor in 5 years!
Or thats why i put my setup in the garage lol.Thats what they make ASOV, and float valves for.
I’m just squeezing it under my counter in my garage or something. Thanks for the heads up!go with the brute. While the dolly is very convenient, I'd strongly recommend against using one. The dollies are not rated for heavy weight and they fail. This happened to me and a 44G brute dumped 40G of saltwater all over my basement fish room!
Gonna look into this soon as I get home. I can be a complete space cadet at times.Theres that too. Wasting RO/DI, or just water in general.
ASOV and float valve might be like $30? Worth every penny to me.
