Love the addition of the mangrove... How is it for phosphate/nitrate reduction? I read that people replace their skimmer with mangroves. Are they that efficient?

Thanks... I seriously doubt they are that effective.. in fact I don't rely on them at all for filtration.. I just like the look and another cool thing to grow in my reef...

It's actually completely barebottom.. I painted the underside of the tank with a white textured paint... the texture didn't show as well, but the white looks good IMO... I absolutely love the ease of cleaning... I blow all the detrius into absolutely corner and suck it out on water change day...

Here is a top down pic of the sand in the back.. this is for my wrasses to sleep in... works great and allows me to keep them happy and keep a BB wrasse... circled in red is the acrylic wall holding the sand behind the rocks...
