It looks okay. PH looks on the low side. I would definitely recommend a different test kit (salifert, Red Sea, NYOS, Hanna). API can definitely read off and I’ve learned that the hard way. Red Sea and salifert are affordable and pretty okay

I’m sorry, I can’t help with that one. Mines always been around 8-8.1 and I’ve been happy. I can definitely relate with being in school living with your parents lol. It’s a tough life

What are you keeping in the tank? A ph of 7.8 is suitable for a reef tank. You don’t need to chase ph for a successful reef tank especially if you just have some fish. If you really want to raise it trying using kalkwasser in your ato.

I wouldn’t worry too much about ph .
it will fluctuate throughout the day / night which is normal .
I’m only assuming this is a fairly new setup ?
there are still a small trace amount of ammonia , 0 nitrite and 0 nitrate

how long has it been running ?

I also agree with picking up a few test kits such as salifert .
but if it’s just starting , API will work for the short time

be patient and let your system mature
