I'm thinking about going from a weekly 10% WC to a bi-weekly 5% WC. I don't know if the math is correct but I believe it only reduces the effectiveness by .25%. I'm thinking that only 5% of the second WC would be from the first one. So (5%)(5%)=.025 or .25%??

Why would it reduce the effectiveness? I've been doing a 4 gallon twice a week water change for months because it's easier to move one 5 gallon bucket around rather than 2. Ive seen no ill effects from doing it this way.
