I have recently installed a 3/4" PVC water delivery system from my basement through the floor and I need to find a functional pump to power the system. I have a spare tank pump in my bin but it only has a 7.5 ft head and it is just a bit short of getting the water where it needs to get.

I have done some research and checked both Ebay and Craigslis, but I really would like to avoid spending the $100 on a mag 18 if possible. This system is not to power a sump from the basement, but rather to pump 20 gallons up to my take twice a month. I do not need an incredible amount of pressure, just enough to get the water up with a moderate flow.

My knowledge of pumps is pretty limited and I could use a few suggestions. Can anyone point me toward something that may fit this particular need, but also spare a little change to be put towards other tank upgrades?

It is approximately a 10 foot rise from the basement holding tank to the hose attachment I am going to use for filling the sump. I have dry fitted the 3/4" pvc pipe using 4 90 degrees elbows but can cut that down if need be.

Does the length of the fill hose need to be taken into account if it is all horizontal length?

Total height, including loss of head using elbows, which I can figure in.

Okay, thank you. Being that it is only going to be used a few times a month I will keep my eye on the used market and see what comes up. If not, than I will just have to bite the bullet and pony up the dough. In the long run $100 vs the 4x 5g buckets of salt water I have to trudge up the stairs every water change seems a small price to pay.

If you can switch the 90's out for either sweep 90's or 45's less restriction on your flow
