Hello everyone. Back at it again here, lol. Ok thinking of trying to make my drain and fill water changes better/easier/safer. What I do now is drain about 200 gallons out then pump 200 ish gallons back in. Thinking of buying two same size Hygger big pumps and putting one in display tank and one in water storage tank and running them both at the same time. Vs using my mag drive one at a time. Thoughts? I use a rodi auto top off.

You want to add 200 gallons to your sump while the tank's not running?

*Edit: I misread your post. If you are putting water into the display at the same time you're pulling water out of the display, your 200 gallon water change will not really remove 200 gallons.

Gorgeous tank!!!

All good. It’s more like the guy drops off like 275 gallons and I only use 200 of it. So I was thinking of putting the drain on one side of the tank and pumping the new water into the other end of the tank (8ft long). I figured there will be a decent overlap but I was thinking that might reduce it a little. But I also know I only used to do 100-150 gallons of water each month and that was ok, but now I have more coral n fish.

When you do both at the same time, some of your new water will mix and flow right out of the tank. This is not a huge deal, especially if you are changing 200 gallon. Just get another mag to match the one that you have and you should be fine. The one pumping out will have less head pressure and will always flow more water, but you can figure out the slight difference after a few times.
