Recommended water change schedule for a 10g nano?
No fish in the system aside from a cleaner shrimp and some snails.
Mainly used as a coral QT system.
Corals consist of lps (torch, acans, chalice)
Softies (mushrooms, zoas)
I’m feeding benepets 3x a week Tu, Thur, Sunday
I dose coral amino 5 drops a day
Feeding spectrum pellets (average 5) a day
I want to start keeping a consistent schedule for my water changes to make sure my major and minor elements are in check.
I’ve seen people who do 100% changes, some folks who do none.. looking for some guidance.
My concern is that if I do the 100% change, it’ll strip out all nitrate and phosphate
The tanks been up for about 8 months now, I see minimal growth around some of the corals
I’m using Red Sea blue bucket for my water changes, mixing to 35.5 ppt
I’ve also been working to slowly up my mag to 1500 since I’ve read the euphyllia like higher levels of mag
Here are my Params:
Alk 9.8-10.2
Calc: 420
Mag: 1380
Nitrate: 10.5
Phosphate: 0.04
