Hello guys, so I’m proud to say that after a long time of waiting I’ve finally purchased a pair of clownfish, which who are now in the QT and are being medicated as a preventative. It’s been a week since they’ve been in their and I’m wondering, should I water change ? I’m kind of afraid to if I have to because if my fish do have a disease, I don’t want to use my water change equipment and possibly contaminate them. Thank you in advance !

Your QT tank should be small and bare bottom, so do a water change using a disposable cup. Leave your DT water change equipment alone.

I don't have auto water change equipment. I do it manually but I change my QT tank water at the same time I change my DT tank. I'm not medicating at the present time but if I am, I just use separate equipment i.e. my QT tank is a 20 gallon long so I just use a separate marked 5 gallon bucket and hoses just to be safe. Accumulating 5 gallon buckets (used salt bucket containers) is not a problem. I do use the same premixed saltwater.

Yes I have a nano so I have buckets as well haha, I’m going to go ahead and use one of my DT buckets for the job, losing one wouldn’t hurt haha thank you for the response my friend !!
