Hello fellow reefers! It's water change weekend. How many of you are planning on doing a water change? What's the volume of the tank you're changing out the water on? Percentage water change? Do you haul buckets around or do you have something fancy to help streamline the process?

Bonus points: Post a pic of your water mixing station/equipment and the tank(s) you're working on.

I myself am planning on doing a 20 gallon water change on my 50 gallon tank (40 gallons actual volume). I let my nutrients rise too much without doing anything, so things weren't looking great. I don't have anything fancy for my mixing station. It's just a 44 gal Brute container with a Jaeger heater and Hydor Koralia powerhead. I lug buckets around when draining the tank and I use a Sicce Sincra Silent 2.0 to pump the water into the tank.

It's odd, but I forget how excited I am to see the tank right after doing a water change. I get a sensation of actually doing something to help the animals we keep feel better.

30g.
syphon out 5g's into the blue 5g Abso-Pure jug. dump it into the utility sink.
repeat five more times. pump in 30g's from the BRUT on wheels.
Sounds exactly like what I'm going to be doing. The next step up from dumping in water from the bucket and getting it everywhere.

I took my ATO / AWC off my existing DT so I can start plumbing for the new build. If I knew it was going to take this long to get that tank corrected, I'd have waited.
Essentially, the new system will work like this:
Water line will go through the wall from my bathroom to my RO - mounted on the rt of my stand.
RO will process the water and send it to the holding container with a float valve on the left side of the stand.
ATO will take care of topping off daily.
Monthly, I'll add salt and mix the holding tank.
The AWC setting will pump water from the sump back through the wall into the drain and refill from the holding tank.
I'll use the KASA power strip to turn off the skimmer and pumps to do the AWC.
I won't have to get my hands wet unless I do a siphon manually.

I use the AutoAqua ATO / AWC.
