Water changes do wonders!!! It is amazing what a few water changes do for fish and coral!! Nitrates were high due to bad test kit so did some water changes and man does everything seem happy!!

This is why you monitor your params, so you know when its time.

I was changing 6 gallons a week and everything tested fine with the test kit i had. From now on i think i will buy a new test kit every year. They are inexpensive compared to the livestock. I am checking daily for the next week or so and if everything stays fine i will be doing 10 gallons weekly.

Glad your seeing quick benefits.

I change about 15gallons water weekly - figure it you just make it a habit it's easier to stick with it.

I change 5 1/2g's on my 26g bi-weekly. Even a day beyond I can notice a difference :)
Are you running a sump on this or just the tank? I have the 37 gallon cube with 10 gallon sump and i am thinking 12 gallons bi weekly when i get everything back to normal. I knew something was wrong because the fish werent as active and my corals werent looking very good so i took some water to AC and sure enough nitrates were way high. Bought new test and did several water changes and everything looks great now.
