Water change?

So I have had my 40 gal tank running for about 50 days now. The tank is cycled and I have 3 livestock in the tank. I have yet to do a water change and the water parameters look great. I was wondering if I should do a water change before I head home for 2 weeks? My roommate is going to feed the fish and keep me updated but the water parameters seem fine and the nitrates are low < 2 ppm. Should I do a small 15 gal water change or so before I leave for a few weeks?

Yes, do the water change. Won't hurt anything and will actually be beneficial.

Do the change and leave some water ready for when you come back and your roommate messed up your tank by overfeeding.

Agreed... If NO3 & PO4 prams are down leave it any other params are down dose but add trace elements when dosing...
