Water Change?

Just thought I would share my new tank with you... I have the Artfully Acrylic lid on the way for it... I had a 75g African cichlid tank for many years and have been out of the hobby for quite a while now. Always wanted to try saltwater so here I am. I'm retired but this hobby is a full time job. lol I'm sure though very rewarding (I hope) Thanks for all your help... lapin... that is amazingly nice and a lot of dedication to the hobby...

A nice clean new tank, Ahhhhhhhhhhh

I believe you can cycle and cure at the same time. You also don't need to add a fish to help with the cycle. You can either ghost feed the tank, or you can just dose ammonia which is my preference because you know the exact amount of ammonia that has been added. I'd say add the Dr Timm's and dose his ammonium chloride per his instructions.

Great looking setup. Looks very nice with caves and hideout!!! Keep that same thing going and you will love it. I highly recommend not to switch on your lights till you complete your cycle and do a very large w/c. GOOD LUCK and Welcome back to the hobby. Its your new full time job lol

Yup it's killing me to not turn on those Aqua Illumination Hydra 26 lights. I have some pre existing track lighting above the display that I turn on so I do get to see some flickering in the sand from the water movement...

I know it’s really really hard. With the cycle when nitrates get high and you have those amazing lights, it calls for an algae recipe and ugliness.
