We have a new 75G tanks that's approximately 4 month old.
We are wondering how much water and how often changes should be done?
Currently we are doing 10% every two weeks

Thanks

10% every 2 weeks is fine, every week even better for a new tank

10% is a good amount as it won’t upset the water stability to much which is one of the keys to success.

And welcome to R2R as well, it’s great to have you with!

Thank you.
Once per week it is.

How often would you recommend checking the chemicals (it that's what they're called) (ammonia, pH etc)?

You should check the water parameters weekly and make fine adjustments to the foundation elements (calcium magnesium alkalinity) as required, ideally daily with an auto doser once you get everything set up so you can maintain stability. Stability is the key especially for corals.

I haven’t tested for ammonia since my tank was established, or nitrite, but if your unsure include these as well as pH, salinity, magnesium, calcium, alkalinity, Nitrate and phosphate

Also make sure salinity is kept stable with an auto top off system if you don’t yet have one

Would one check the parameters between the weekly water change or just prior to or right after the change?

Thanks again
