So if I do water change after every 3 or 4 days. Would that be good or bad? Tank is doing good but phosphate is a little high.

P.S there’s no emergency, I can’t use any other prefix beside emergency for some odd reason and it won’t let me post without it

i dont think its bad, just might be un-needed, a lot of extra effort and pricey. tank stability is most important... you may try feeding less and putting a bag of GFO in ..

Welcome to the forum!

Lot's of good people here to help (I myself am not very good, and even less helpful... but I'm here :p). My experience has been that erring on the side of too many vs not enough water changes is better... but not necessarily ideal. As @zoa what mentioned... tank maturity, occupants, size, and types of filtration you have will all drive the conclusion of what is ideal.

If you can provide some more details of your setup... I am sure the truly helpful and good folks here will chime in with all sorts of info.

Water changes are usually not the best way to deal with phosphate. Even a 100% change doesn't drop it to zero due to all the phosphate on rock and sand that comes back off after a change.

LPS dominated tank and 65 AIO. I’ll just stick with weekly water changes

I'd research R2R search function on 'carbon dosing'. Learn about NoPox, Vibrant, Vodka dosing.... which is an effort to supply fuel/food to good bacteria (nitros bac) that in turn feasts on nitrates and Phosphates.

IMO...A huge percentage of veteran hobbyists do some sort of carbon dosing bc WCs aren't always enough (and costly).... sorta like taking multivitamins and peeing out 95% of what you took in.
