Hey, I have a 3 gallon. As well and I do water changes once every week. Because the tank is small, you water parameters will rise alot faster than that of a larger tank. I do a 20% water change every saturday. Hope this helps

hey everyone! I am new to this site and sofar love the atmosphere. anyway, I would really like to start a 3-5 gallon nano but was wondering how hard it actually is. also what would i need to set it up and cycle it/ how long should i wait to put fish in and what should i test for in water parameters? im kind of new to saltwater tanks and hate to be a burden by asking this but if anyone could help it would be extremely appreciated! thaks so much

Hey there, and welcome to reef2reef! I have a 3 gallon with a 3 stage filter in the back. What I did to start mine was sand, (live) live rock, and let it sit for about two weeks and tested it and my parameters were good to go. It has been really easy to keep, I just keep up with my water changes and everything has been going very smoothly. I'll send you a link here in a second. Hope it helps!
