Hey guys I'm about to do a regular water change I was wondering is there anything else I should do right after or durning the change thanks!

Wait an hours or two and check you parameters after change and compare to the reading you had before the water change and try to keep it as stable as possible.
Alk
Ca
Mg
No3
Po4

Ok thank you

YW.

I typically clean turn off the return pump. Clean the tank up and then pull the water. During this time I have the water mixed and heating up. I would test the parameters in the tank. If NO3 or PO4 are high I might do a larger water change. If normal levels, i would introduce the new water. make sure salinity has not swung.

I siphon out any detrius from my rear chamber/sump at every water change. I am sure you are already doing this, but I also do not add new saltwater to the tank until the temp and salinity mirror the tank.

I clean out the filter media in the tank water I've removed (carbon, etc). I clean the skimmer cup and change out the filter sock. About once/mos I clean the gfo reactor and the pumps. That keeps the sump nice and clean.
