your corals will probably do good with a weekly change. It not only dilutes any potential toxins, it adds elements that might be used up by the corals and helps bring the system closer to natural saltwater.

Only 2 options? Again can't vote on one of your polls

+1 I'm sure if you had other options beyond those two you would find out that there are people with that water volume that do water changes monthly, bi-monthly or even longer and run successful tanks. I won't mention my schedule for my 105 system water volume or it will throw the average waaaaay off...:xd: Of course people that don't do WC's that often dose more.

I think it depends on practicality as well, if you have time to do them once a week by all means that would be better but make sure its consistently done every week. If your doing every other week then do it a month later then a week later it will just cause problems. so just as for everything else consistency is key. Corals dont like changing environments :)
There is an article in thereeftank.com about water changes and they tested a bunch of different parameters to see what kept the ionic environment the most consistent and the best option is to do 2-3 gallons everyother day or a gallon a day was even better (for a 100gal tank) which if you think about it only takes you 5 minutes if you have a saltwater vat. I have yet to see a tank of the month were they dont do water changes and the best tanks I have seen change it constantly (they may exist I have not looked at them all so sorry if im wrong).

I did't voted because I change my water monthly.

I do 25% once a month sometimes more just depends on time

Nano I try to every week but sometimes every other

29 gallon 15-20% weekly change. Noticed an explosion of growth and health among corals.
