I am looking at simplifying my water changes. As of now it’s buckets up from my basement. I’d like to buy a pump of some sort that I can mount in my water storage room. I’d then like to have a (drinking water safe) garden hose on a reel. When I want to add water, I run the hose upstairs, fill the tank then wind it back up. I would like a recommendation on a pump. The tank is about 15 verticle feet up and about 20’ away horizontally. I don’t want to spend a fortune on a pump that’s not going in a tank. Something cheap that can overcome the head loss and distance and ‘referably Will allow me to just screw on a garden hose.

I use a Jebao DCT-4000 to pump up about 5' and 50' away to my display tank with a RV 5/8" x 50' hose. Works great and great price. Maybe the next size up for your 15' head height. The DCT-8000 has a head max of around 15' and Amazon has it for 89.99. Cheers!
