Water check

Good morning,
I’m fairly new to this hobby and would like to know how do I check the water. My son got a tank as an early Xmas/bday gift and I’m trying to make sure everything is what it should be. He has 2 clown fish a blue hippo tang and anemones (it literally split yesterday). I want to make sure this is done correctly. How do I check the water?!

Assuming you’ve cycled the tank, you will need to either take a sample to a local fish shop, or get some test kits and also check salinity and temperature

Also anemonies are generally for established tanks so you will need to keep and eye on it.

Yea they gave me some liquid to put in the water. I do that every other day as instructed. I’ll take it again now that there is algae blooming and see what they say
