Ok I have an odd situation I have never seen in water chemistry. I am about two weeks into my setup cycle. My PH has been holding fine until my ammonia started going down. In the last 48 hours my ammonia dropped to 0 but my PH also dropped from an 8.2 to a 7.3... My nitrates and nitrites are both still up there and I know I am no where near ready for critters, but i want to stop what ever caused this before it happens again hurting my tank.

This is what cycling a tank means. :)

Just let it ride until the biofilter is complete and you have Nitrates in the water.

Ok i have just never seen a tank's ph bottom out that much that fast without adding something to it.

Judging from the ammonia, you've added some dead critters in your live rock, so you are right! :) Just no need to worry much until the cycle is over, which could be as little a a few days or as much as a month or even longer depending on your rock.
