i have a question. see if you can help me figure it out. my 60 cube is 11 months old. 78 degrees 1.026 salinity, 8.5 alk, 440 cal, 1400 mag po4 .02 nitrate .02 Im using a GHL Mitras LX7200. I have stuff with coraline on it in the tank but its not really growing. Also some of my Sps are dying. I use Fritz salt. I run very little carbon and thats it. Skimmer and Cheato
ive even brushed snail shells and what not
pH 8.28

I would suggest getting the nitrates up to 3 to 5 ppm. you corals are hungry. Everything else is ideal with your parameters. Also look at dosing some trace elements.

The nitrate won't explain it, though. Upping it might help, but lots of tanks do great at low nitrate levels.

First, what is your flow? My coralline took off when I upped the flow to start adding SPS. In fact, the side of my overflow that got hit by a pump started exploding with coralline. Another thing is what are your light PAR values? SPS need lots of light and lots of flow! Since coralline will grow in lower light, I suspect flow is the biggest issue of the two.

Im using a Gyre 130 Mid level and a jaeboa 4000 all the way up. I have plenty of flow. Think i found the culprit not sure. I think its marine Fungus

Share some pictures please....is it a bacterial infection on your sps?

Best I can do. It's white fuzzy stuff on my rock. Little on the base of frag plugd

I have some API Algaefix and some Metheyne blue coming
I just read this on Methylene Blue...is this what your going to use?
Caution:
Methylene blue is toxic to plants and is harmful to biological filtration, preventing nitrification and resulting in a rapid rise in ammonia and/or nitrite levels. Treatment should be carried out in a separate hospital tank or other suitable container. Methylene blue can permanently color the silicone sealant in aquariums.
