does the box not fill up fast enough? or does it not go down fast enough

if I turn the pump up the overflow doesn't drain enough water so the tank will flood

is it the box too small not enough output
or the plumbing not enough out put.
thats why you have to choke the pump.
one of those is too small.

if I turn the pump up the overflow doesn't drain enough water so the tank will flood
but specifically, when it does that, does water overwhelm the box< like go over the edge then down
or does the overflow fill op first then overflow the box.

Sorry I dont know if thats the recommended size for the flow. Do you?
is your durso vented?
and are there any step down in sizes in the output.

yes the derso is vented and there are no step downs in size I just think the bulkhead is 2 small

yea. You'd have to redo. Use both in box outs for sump and go external return(inlet).

yeah I really don't want to do that so I will just need to get another power head or something like that

Id think about upping the return rate for a down the road. It would make for a healthier system. But yea, funny, one little question about flow.
