What's everyone use to store and possibly transport on a trailer ro/saltwater?

I agree using the totes. If You trailer maybe use a good bungee from handle to handle.

How much water do you need to transfer? Once those Brute containers are filled up that's a lot of weight. I'd be afraid of hitting a turn to quick and having one of those things buckle or even tip over. I guess if you secure them properly though they can work. GL.

Thanks, if I could reccomend one thing is to plumb it to your tank. I can suck water from the tank to the sink, and then fill with the same pump. It runs over a single 3/4" line. I basically copied other people's designs, but has made my life much easier. I had problems with uniseals on these, but others have had success, I ended up with standard bulk heads. If I had to do it again I would have plumbed them from the bottom so they could drain fully. But as you can see I'm tight on space.

They're pretty stable, the stand is 2x4s with metal angle braces, supported in the middle and 3/4 pine for the stand its leveled and attached to the wall. Also they're hard plumbed to pvc, so they're not going anywhere . But I've accidentally left valves open and drained them onto the floor a few times. It's not a perfect system , but I vowed never to have to do manual water changes again after doing them for so many years .

I only plan on transporting once actually. I was going to bring back as much of 90 gallons as I could when I get this new setup. I was than going to use the container for saltwater storage. I figured once I got it home on a trailer I'd pump it out into buckets to fill tank. Than the plumbing will start to get plumbing from ro to container and than from container to tank. Little by little as funds allow of course...

This is how I ended up configuring my mixing station. Not transportable but if you're looking for a permanent station I highly recommend these containers.

www.ruralking.com. Cheapest of all stores by far. Free shipping is what makes them the cheapest source. They are the Ace Roto Mold containers that a lot of reefers use. I got mine for ~$190 for both shipped.

I filled up a brute can the first time and loaded it in my truck. Its okay to do it once to get the most water possible from the store. Now I just use 5 gallon buckets to transport and fill my brute for mixing as needed. One day I suppose, I would like to have a proper mixing station with those ace ROTO containers and RO/DI.

I've got 2 of the 275g ibc food grade water totes. Light enough to pick up and move when empty, And they come with a uniseal and ball valve in the bottom.
