Water cooled LED fixture

I decided to build my heat exchanger so I just ordered a bunch of 5/16" rigid copper tubing. I realize I could use a heater core but after seeing these things work, I don't think I will need that much cooling. I would also rather build the thing myself.

So I guess the next question is, can you fit optics to the leds without them being mounted to a star?

Edit* Oh and by the way that looks awesome. It's like a T5 made out of LEDs....

What? No picture? Remember to make it extra large, these old eyes of mine (not quite as old as yours, but close) aren't as good as they used to be.

Okay, this is weird. I swear that photo wasn't there when I posted, yet the timestamp shows hours ago. My eyes must be getting really old.

HaHa. I added the picture later.
I can't add optics to these LEDs. They just are what they are from an old fixture. I guess it doesn't need them. Every third LED is blue but you can't tell from the picture.

Whew, I thought that I was going senile as well as blind. Please post some supermodel pics so that I can test my eyes as well as my brain.

MOM! Does this mean I'm now Paul, Junior? It sure looks like my inheritance is tied up in copper! :D

I am not sure because this is actually Paul Junior.

And another picture of my own personal Supermodel.

I just got home from the hospital for some knee and hand surgery and was surprised to see my circulating pump for my water cooled fixture arrived. It is smaller than I thought. I figured I would post it before the anesthesia wears off and I start screaming. This little pump is very cool but I hope it will run continousely.
I am tryng to type with two fingers from my left hand and not having much luck

Ahhh....a cute little pump!

What is the flow rating on that little thing?

I do like that it's DC.

Keep the photos and info coming gimpy! :D Hope your recovery is short and painless Paul.

I don't know the flow rating. But I am not much interested with the flow as I am in the fact that if it doesn't have enough flow to push up the magnet on my flow switch, I may have to tweek that. I have some larger pumps but they are to large for this small progect. I will have trouble testing this out as I can't get my hand wet for a week and it is still numb. I also need to walk with a cane so I am a little out of commission. I also want to do a water change but unless I can figure out how to do that through osmosis, that ain't gonna happen.

Thanks. The pain pills I got were supposed to be very strong but the are girly pills. I don't need them for pain but I wanted them to put me to sleep last night. No such luck.

So what you're saying is that you had more to time to work on the fixture? I hope that today will be better for you.

Thanks but today is no better. My wife got hit in the heat by a machine at her gym and they called an ambulance. I am waiting for the MRI and stitches. We are tryng to see how many doctor bills we can rack up in 2 days.
