Water Distiller Question

My tap water is 305ppm. I just purchased a distiller that can bring my tap water down to 17ppm. That is around 94 percent removal. This is for drinking not my Nano. Should I get another distiller? Thanks all.

Yes. 0 is the goal.

You can try double distilling it, but some, especially volatile organic compounds will still be present.
Best water for reef aquarium is produced by RODI process, no hobby or even commercial distiller will match that

If I read the op it is for drinking water. You will be fine at 17ppm

You might send it in to see what is still in the water.

Or, Randy might chime in about what is likely still there after distillation (something with a boiling point close to water - something that sticks to the tubing whatever).

I would guess large in-organic and non volatile molecules - but I don't know what those might be in particular.

Most of the ppm are stuff we need. Its the chlorine and fluoride we don't need

Spot on. Spend a ton of money to bring water from 0.03gr to 0.9 TDS then spend more money to put it back 100gr TDS.

A place I worked at ran water through a RO/DI, then a Distiller, I believe it was “0” If you drank it, it was like nothing, then you would get this weird after sensation. We used it for Computer Cooling, and to mix with DowTherm, Antifreeze.
