water flow in a 92g corner tank

ok so I have a dilemma of some kind. I have ben trying to figure out how to get the flow right in my tank now for some time. How much flow should I have and should I get 4 circulation pumps.

I have the same tank. Its shape makes it hard to situate pumps. I ended up using 4 pumps, 2 that shoot across the surface and 2 set lower.

I'd set the larger toward the back, low and aimed toward the front as much as possible.

I also have a 92 and like bbtm64 I have 4 power heads 2 smaller one higher and toward the back blowing to the front then the other 2 about mid way on each side blowing pretty much at each other then I have 2 return lines from the sump blowing toward the sand along each side. Seems to work well. You might want to add a couple more power heads. They are a pain to get flow in but once you do it is worth the head ache

I have a 54 gallon corner and i run two jebao wp10 with a eheim 3000 return pump and i get great flow placements of the pumps was tricky, but its cool now. I would say for your size tank, just two jebao wp40s alone with your return pump preferably with a y- split you'll be satisfied. And probably take the other two out.

I had a 40 in mine and at full speed it was too much. It'd actually slush small amounts of water over the rim.
If you go with Jebao, which I really like, I'd go with either 2 RW4s or RW8s.

I had a 54 and used the return to go parallel to one of the side lengths and flowed to the output of a sicce voyager 4 that was about 4-5" below the surface and was pointed 'to ride' the curve of the front glass. That flow went to a voyager 3 pointed diagonally to where the return exited the overflow. On the opposite side of the overflow from the return I had an mj 400 pointed across the surface of the overflow teeth to prevent any flsh
food to quickly go to the filter. This setup provided a circulr flow that eliminated deadspots and kept food in the water column to be available for fish and corals.

I wanted to get them but did not know if it was any good.
